INVESTITURE CEREMONY AT ST. JOSEPH’S CONVENT, IDGAH HILLS, BHOPAL

The investiture ceremony of St. Joseph’s Convent School, Idgah Hills, Bhopal was held on 08 July, 2023. The theme of the ceremony was “Team Work Makes Dream Work”.

The Chief Guest Dr. Nidhi Rathi, an ex-student of this school, was greeted and escorted by the NCC cadets on the tune played by the school band. The Chief Guest was presented with a sapling to welcome her. The program began with a song by the school choir based on the theme of the year “Dream, Dare Accomplish”.

The Principal, Dr. Sr. Lilly, gave a deep insight on the key points of leadership, motivating each student to be a leader. She stressed on the need to be disciplined and committed to be a great and successful and charismatic leader. She added that courage, communication skills, listening skills, positive attitude and problem solving were some of the qualities that could transform a leader from a dreamer to a doer.

A prayer service was held, invoking God’s divine presence and seeking his blessings and grace. It began with the lighting of the lamp of solidarity. A colorful prayer dance, set on the devotional hymn “Satya Swaroopa Deva”, was presented as an offering to the almighty.

The solemn proceedings of the investiture ceremony began in the presence of the Chief Guest, the President of the School Parliament Rev. Sr. Lilly, and other holders of various port folios.

The Prime Minister of the School Parliament for the year 2023-24 is Yoshita Reddy and the Deputy Prime Minister is Pragya Dey.

The newly inducted Cabinet Ministers, class ministers and Captains and Vice-Captains of the four houses took their oaths and received their respective sashes, badges and flags.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Nidhi Rathi, reminiscing her school days, recalled how discipline and hard work were instilled in her during her school days. From the example of her own life as a student at St. Josheph’s, she gave tips on effective learning and mastering subjects. She proudly added that the schools had maintained its expertise as an educational institution in the city of Bhopal till date.

The Chief Guest was presented with a memento by the manager of the school, Rev. Sr. Francis Joseph. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Prime Minister of the School Parliament, Yoshita Reddy. The program concluded with the National Anthem played by the school band.
