St. Joseph Convent Idgah Hills won double title

St. Joseph Convent Idgah Hills won the title for Kho-Kho and Volleyball in the girls’ category in the 15th Inter School Sports Carnival held at Rabindranath Tagore University. After losing to St. Raphael’s School in the semi-final match in Kho-Kho, they defeated CL Arya School in the final match. Saumya Nahar was awarded the Best Player, while in volleyball, after defeating CL Arya School in the semi-final match, they defeated Bal Bharti School in the final match. Nitya Thakur was awarded the Best Player. On this occasion, the Kho-Kho coach of the team Vishnu Kant Sahay was specially honored.

On this occasion, the school’s Principal Dr. Sister Lily, Vice Principal Sister Stania, Head of Sports Department Ravdeep Singh Malhari, Sports Teacher Jitendra Shukla, Amandeep Kaur, Kirti Goswami along with all the members of the school family expressed happiness and congratulated them.

On the occasion of the grand closing ceremony of the sports carnival, the university’s registrar Dr. Sangeeta Johri and international handball player and CEO of Elite Pro Basketball, Mr. Sunny Bhandarkar were specially present. Also, the university’s Physical Education Department’s HOD Dr. Vikas Saxena, Sports Officer Satish Ahirwar, Counseling Head Dr. Anil Tiwari, Mr. Akshat ji and Assistant Professor Dr. Pankaj Dhuldhoye, Jan Sampark Officer Vijay Pratap Singh were specially present. The program was brilliantly conducted by international commentator Damodar Arya.

In the competition, teams from 20 schools of Bhopal and Mandideep participated in various games like cricket, volleyball, kho-kho, kabaddi and tug of war. In the inter school competitions, teams from IPS, St. Joseph Bhopal, Galaxy, Scope School, Bal Bharti, Vivek Jagriti, Miracle, Bonafide, CL Arya, Vaishnavi, Silver Bills, Hema Higher Secondary, Golden Carry, Graphite, St. Raphael, St. Mount Fort, Father Angel, Government High School Mandideep, Raj Heights, Government School Umraoganj participated.
